Almost a year ago, we were in the process of preparing for a major hurricane. Living in the mid-Atlantic we aren’t strangers to major storms, but this time, they were forecasting that my region was the 2nd most likely strike area. The navy sent the ships to sea and the airports canceled flights. It was serious business. We went into storm preparedness for our family, pets, home, and farm.
The video below shares the steps I took to help save as much as possible of my garden. That storm went west during the night and missed us. It unfortunately hit hard just below us and created catastrophic disasters in North Carolina. We thankfully didn’t even get wind or rain.
Since we find ourselves here in hurricane season again, I thought these tips may be helpful.
All my best to anyone in the path of a storm,
