Burlap Wide Weave
- Lay over newly sown seeds in soil blocks, cell trays, and in the garden to retain moisture and enhance sprouting.
- Remove burlap as soon as 50% of the seeds show signs of sprouting.
- Size: approximately 36" wide x 36" long.

I’m a small gardener. I cut my burlap into squares and rectangles that fit my trays as needed. This way as they come up at different times it’s easier to check and remove from heat mat.

Worked better than my dome lids I have used in the past. Put different seeds on the same tray, some germinated fast so others not able to stay with burlap on. Will need to better organize seedling groupings next yr to account for this.

I was skeptical of this burlap but it proved its worth in 5 minutes. My first batch of blocks doe not germinate well partly due to low temps. I placed the trays on the heat mat and set the temp to 70° but did not use burlap. The second batch I added the burlap and have a much higher germination rate plus much faster results-only 4 days for snaps. The burlap raised the temp in the trays by 5°.
