Insect Netting
Our knitted Insect Netting protects your plants from insects and birds with minimal thermal effect, making it perfect for warm weather use. On our flower farm, we also use it as a light shade cloth, or "suncap," for newly planted beds during extreme heat, as demonstrated in the video above. The netting's stretchy, pantyhose-like nature makes it easy to secure and manage in the garden. We recommend securing it with weight bags for best results.
Insect netting offers similar benefits to row cover but with less heat retention and greater durability. Highly versatile, it can be used in gardens, planters, or greenhouses. It can be laid directly on plants or used with hoops, though we recommend using hoops for optimal results. Always monitor tunnel heat levels when first using the netting to become familiar with your specific conditions.
