Black-Eyed Susan ‘Chim Chiminee’,  Rudbeckia hirta - 50 seeds avg.

Unique quilled petals in rich, autumnal tones ranging from gold to burnt orange to chocolatey bronze.

Planting Tips:

  • A cool-season hardy annual that prefers full sun.
  • May be considered a short-lived perennial in certain climates.
  • Best grown as an annual for flower production.
  • Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before planting date or cast seeds directly in the garden.
  • Do not cover seeds with soil.
  • Allow 7-14 days to germinate.
  • Space plants 6-12” apart in the garden.
  • Grows to 24-30” tall.
  • 100-120 days to bloom.
  • Winter hardy to zone 5.
Keep the Blooms Coming: 
  • Rudbeckia stems grow from a cluster at the plant base.
  • To encourage more stems to develop, make harvest cuts at the base, two to three inches above ground level.
  • Harvest just after the petals have unfolded.
