My first time buying using soil blocks and using these trays! So far so good!
These trays are an integral part of your soil blocking Journey. So much easier than deeper plastic trays. The flat bottom allows the small soil blocks to sit stable, not toppling over. The lower lip edge guarantees you won’t overwater and float your seeds off and away. The thicker plastic doesn’t deflect or warp under the weight of the soil blocks and water making these easier to move around as needed. The narrow width gives you more flexibility both in terms of grouping small batches of seeds together on one tray (seeds that have similar days to germination, or temperature or light requirements) AND means the tray takes up less space on your growing bench. You can fit up to 150 seedlings on one tray when using 1/2” soil blocks. I’ll be ordering more of these trays!
My first attempt using this system was very successful. All my seeds germinated quickly. The instructions and video tutorials were helpful. I was able to transplant the tiny seedlings into larger pots and they are thriving and ready to go into the garden very soon! My new favorite way to start seeds!

They're sturdy, slim and perfect for soil blocking. Love them!
These trays are completely unusable with soil blocking. If you try to use them, all of the soil just washes away. There is some nice imagery in the marketing, but it is completely false advertising. You cannot use these green trays with soil blocking.

Wish I had the trays earlier. I was using bigger seed trays that had ridges along the bottom and it made the soil blocks unstable. I bought your video program and understood why you use the small trays. Thank you.

I’ve been wanting to purchase these for sometime as I have big trays, but I was looking for something a little bit smaller and these perfectly fit, they’re nice and sturdy and I’m excited to use them come spring.
