Love-in-a-Mist ‘Miss Jekyll Indigo’, Nigella damascena, 100 seeds avg.

Delightful little indigo-toned flowers, green pods with purple stripes, and lacy, fern-like foliage. An old-fashioned plant commonly found in cottage gardens.

Planting Tips: 

• A cool-season hardy annual that prefers full sun.
• Sowing seeds directly in the garden is recommended.
• Cover seeds with soil.
• Allow 10-14 days to germinate.
• Thin seedlings to 6’’ apart once 5’’ tall.
• Grows to 24” tall.
• 65-70 days to bloom, 80-85 days to pods.
• Winter hardy to zone 6.

Harvesting Tips: 

• Harvest the central stem at almost ground level, just above the lowest three to four side shoots.
• Future cuts should be made at the stem base.
• Nigella can be harvested from the moment the blooms are cracking open until the seed pods have developed.
